Sju Svåra År - Demo

Today I bring you Sju Svåra År from Sweden. Many of you (if anyone reads this!) may recognize the voice of the singer, who is Josefin from Burning Kitchen. These songs are really good, although I have no idea what they're saying! Musically it's very similar to Burning Kitchen, but a little more technical. These tracks were recorded for an unreleased 7 inch in 2002 (according to their myspace). It's some very good melodic punk so check it out!

PS: I fixed the corrupted upload for the Life, but how to live it? post, so go re-download it if you got the previous version.

Life, but how to Life it? - Unplugged!

Hey, this is a quick update. I don't have that many stuff in terms of rarity, but this was quite hard for me to find, and I think some people would like to here it. Life, but how to live it? needs no introduction, they're a great band from Norway which broke up many moons ago. This unplugged radio session contains two songs, No More Pity and On Trial, complete with funny high pitched vocals and voiced guitar solos.

Check it out.

Edit: I was told one of the files in this were corrupted, and sure enough it was! I re-zipped and re-uploaded it right now, so if you downloaded this before, download it again to hear the 2nd song! Let me know if it works, I have a feeling it got corrupted because of my horribly slow internet connection (damn you Comcast!).

Chumbawamba - Revolution 7"

I haven't posted anything here in a long time, but I made a new design so maybe I'll update more often (probably not). Today I've decided to post Chumbawamba's Revolution 7 inch. I'm sure alot of you have heard it before, but maybe some people haven't. This was released in 1985, long before their tubthumper era. This is a great record that not only sounds good, but has good lyrical content aswell. I included a txt file with the lyrics, but I wasn't able to find any for 'Total Control', so if anyone has them, send them here!

The ep ends with the brilliant two part song Stagnation/Liberation, which was later reworked on their "Starving Children" record a year later. If you haven't heard how old Chumbawamba sounds, then definitely check this out, you might be pleasantly surprised. I have alot of old Chumbawamba demos and live recordings, so maybe I'll post those another time.

Endrophobia 7"

Here is a great EP from the band Endrophobia. It's only four songs, but It's some really great melodic anarchopunk. It features the singer Tati, from bands such as Lost World and Day by Day, so you know it's gonna be good. If you enjoy her vocal style, make sure to check out her current band Apocalipstix!

Alliaceous LP + Demo

Hello again, if anyone is looking at this. I see I got a couple downloads from my last post, maybe more now since I looked a few days ago. It's more than what I expected, so keep checking back if you do!

Today I have the Alliaceous s/t, which from what I hear is somewhat hard to get nowadays. I know the Bitter like the Bean website is now glitchy missing images, and I don't know anywhere else you can get this. This is another band from Arizona, featuring ex-members of Contravene. The style is completely different this time, playing some PIX style folky pop punk. I ripped this from the LP, and I included scans of the booklet. I've also thrown in the demo, but since i downloaded it myself, I don't have anymore info on it. This used to be one of my favorite bands a few years ago, and I hope you enjoy this!

Carol Ann Demo + Unreleased + Score to Settle

It's only been a little while since I first made this, but I'm gonna start with my first official post!

I bring you Carol Ann, many of you probably have heard them, but if not, you're missing out! This is a great band from Arizona, probably with the highest pitched vocals and fastest blast beats you can imagine. If that's not what you're into, don't let that discourage you! Just give it a listen! I've included their demo, songs I downloaded off myspace (one of which I believe is the on the Noothgrush Split), a bunch of unreleased tracks which I believe were spose to be part of a Carol Ann/Misanthropic split, and the Score to Settle ep (They're the last 3 tracks in the untitled folder). Members of this band later went on to form Black Hell and Graves at Sea.
